Goat House Farm: Kidding Season Visit
Friday, Mar. 6, 10:15 am – 12:45 pm
Visit the Goat House Farm to learn about the goat kidding process, insights into caring for newborn goats, and have the chance to interact with the kids in a hands-on, relaxed setting. Fee $25, includes transportation from the Army Recruiting Office West Tallahassee (1694 N Monroe St Suite #4). FSU Museum of Fine Arts- Water Ways: Indigenous Ecologies and Florida Heritage

Indigenous Ecologies and Florida Heritage. Cupcake Decorating Class
Friday, March 13th,  2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Learn simple piping techniques, frosting application, and creative decorating tips in a relaxed and supportive setting. All supplies are provided, and each participant will decorate cupcakes to take home. No prior experience is needed….just come ready to have fun and be creative! Fee $30. Located in TSC Dining Room. Instructor: Tiffany Sutton, Owner & Baker of Pink Daisy’s Sweet Shop. Brunch and Learn at Hopkins Eatery

Come along with us for a Brunch & Learn at Hopkins Eatery. Enjoy hearing the story of how Hopkins came to be while you dine on a delicious meal featuring your choice of sandwich from a preselected menu, the soup of the day, and samples of their house-made desserts. Hands-on Scam Prevention Training with FSU’s School of Information
Friday, Mar. 27 – Apr. 17,  10:00 am – 11:00 am (4-Part Series)
In 2024 alone, individuals aging 50 and up have lost billions of dollars to sophisticated scams utilizing AI technology. During this four-part series, students from Florida State University’s School of Information will walk participants through some of the newest scams, explaining how they work and how we can better protect ourselves online. Adult Zoo Camp at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens
Tuesday, Mar. 31, 7:15 am – 8:15 pm
Join us for a memorable day at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens! This guided trip will feature an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour, engaging animal interactions, learning about senior care for the animals, and a catered lunch. The experience will be highlighted by a visit to the zoo’s new J. Wayne and Delores Barr Weaver Manatee River Habitat! March Spring House Tour
Tuesday, Mar. 31, 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm
While attending the 1950 World Federalist Conference at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, FL, George and Clifton Lewis of Tallahassee asked Frank Lloyd Wright to design a home for them, saying they “have a lot of children and not much money.” Wright agreed and the couple located a beautiful five-acre parcel on the outskirts of Tallahassee. Mr. Wright completed the plans in 1952 of an unconventional pod-shaped home, described as a passive solar “hemicycle” It took just nine months to build the house in 1954. Take a guided tour of this unique structure which is the only Frank Lloyd Wright designed private home in Florida. Most of the fee from this one-of-a kind tour goes to the restoration of this local treasure. Fee $37.     More Info & Registration Here

Safety Series: Behind the Scenes with Consolidated Dispatch Agency CDA
Wed., Apr. 8, Noon -1:30 pm
The CDA is a centralized emergency call center for our community, merging law enforcement, fire services and Emergency Medical Services, serving as a critical link to provide rapid, coordinated response to emergencies in our community. Learn about the specialized training required, the technology utilized, the process for handling 911 calls, and the program partners. Bring your questions and enjoy a catered lunch. Fee $10. Orchard Pond Tour & Strawberry Picking
Thurs., Apr. 16, 9:30 am – Noon
Experience a private walking tour of Orchard Pond Farm with their head farmer, Phil. Strawberries and spring veggies will be popping up and he will discuss what they are growing, the importance of organic growing and composting and the other wonderful things they do on the farm. Discussion with Author: Margaret Van Every
Apr. 22, 2:00 – 3:00 pm
Margaret Van Every will read from her poetry collection In a Better Place: Poems of Metamorphosis (2024), followed by a group discussion.
